Cafe Monteverde Coffee - Light Roast

This bright, crisp Costa Rican coffee is a certified Fair Trade coffee, dedicated to conservation, education and social programs in and around the Monteverde Cloud Forest. Fair Trade certified.

Carefully harvested when fully ripe, Cafe Monteverde is a premium coffee grown in a Cloud Forest environment. The cool temperate Cloud Forest allows the coffee to ripen slowly, developing flavors that exhibit a bright, crisp liveliness with a clean, sweet, and mild cup. Hints of citrus are in the finish.

For over 20 years we have been working with the farmers in Monteverde through the Coope Santa Elena, near the Cloud Forest Preserve of Monteverde. The goal of the original partnership was to pay farmers a price for their coffee that would allow them to keep growing premium coffee and thrive in a dynamically growing area. Through the Dollar Back program, extra money has gone to fund projects unique to the Monteverde area. One dollar from the sale of each pound sold of Cafe Monteverde goes to fund these projects.

The coffees of Monteverde are all Fair Trade certified by Transfair USA. 12 ounce bag.
